I will update this post with additional photos as the days go on (click on an image to expand)
Day 1 - Friday, 01/30
Normally on Fridays I don't have class but I had a tutorial for the Soft Lab and the UX Panel event at ITP, so I wore clothes that I normally wear when I'm meeting people. I generally prefer boot cut jeans, but since it was snowy and cold out I opted for skinny jeans so I could tuck them into my boots .The sweater just struck my fancy that day - red is my favorite color in general and that particular sweater is soft and comfortable. In general I wear the same set of earrings and rings; I'll change them out on special occasions but it's a habit I've had since I was a kid.
Day 2 - Saturday, 01/31
Saturday is Slackerday! When I'm home I usually lounge around in gym pants/shorts and a tshirt (they're mostly leftover college shirts, fandom related, or geeky in general). This way I can do my house errands in peace without worrying about the state of my clothes - I was doing laundry and a deep clean of my room from the winter, so it was especially important to have clothes that I didn't have to muss with. I tend to find gym shorts more comfortable since my room tends to get warm easily.
Day 3 - Sunday, 02/01
Happy Super Bowl! I was planning on wearing a Chicago Bears sweatshirt (DA BEARS!) but much like fans' expectations for a good performance from the team, it was not meant to be - my sweatshirt still has the security tag on it from when I got it that the store forgot to take off. So I opted for my University of Illinois sweatshirt, which are the same colors. This is gear I wear when I'm running errands out in the world and don't expect to run into people; it's comfy but I'm still sort of presentable. Sort of. I also chose to wear boot cut jeans for a looser fit.
Day 4 - Monday, 02/02
This was sort of a surprise in that this is the longest I've gone without wearing darker colors to class. Since it's cold outside, I opted for a sweater again, but I was inspired to pick the red sweater because I pulled red fuzzy socks and thought 'well hey, why not match? It'll be a fun addition to my clothing journal'. The sweater isn't too thick because I wanted to have some ease of mobility since I was planning to work on my shirt assignment and was going to get warm moving around the Soft Lab.
Day 5- Tuesday, 02/03
I love this sweatshirt so much, it's one of my favorite pieces of clothing. It's a dark grey but with some patterns to it and very comfortable. I also like the overhand sleeve, which is great for keeping my hands warm when I forget to have my gloves (I lose them frequently too, so more often than not I have freezing hands).
Day 6 - Wednesday, 02/04
This is something I had purchased over the break and I was tired of wearing sweaters, so I went with this shirt since I'd be at ITP and also meet up with friends later that night. It was nice to wear something that was still pretty but also light and easy to move in.
Day 7 - Thursday, 02/05
Time to panic about the shirt assignment! Since I'll be trying on the shirt, I wanted to wear something that is easy to pull off without messing up my hair but also suitable to wear out into the world.
